Legiana started spontaneously on the streets of Switzerland, France and the Netherlands, where the Legianas found each other in a love of world music with poetic narratives and a strong groove. The singers’ voices blend naturally into harmonics and the acoustic instrumentation of guitar, violin, cello and double bass gives the band an organic sound. Their music incorporates traditional folk styles from all over the world, from sensual Latin rhythms to Balkan dance music to cowboy songs and sea shanties and their songs are sung in many different languages.

De Amsterdam klezmer band is inmiddels een vaste en bijzondere waarde binnen de klezmer en balkan scène, maar vooral ook daarbuiten. Bijna 25 jaar gingen voorbij waarin de band het presteerde om geen seizoen van de radar te verdwijnen. De titel ‘hardest working band in klezmer’ zou de band dus niet misstaan. De AKB beleefde gouden momenten op Sziget, Lowlands, North Sea Jazz, Cité de la Musique, Concertgebouw, Paradiso, Wiener Konzerthaus en vele andere prachtige theaters, clubs en festivals over de hele wereld. Een goeie dosis gotspe en de Amsterdamse smoel, dat is de AKB in een notendop”.

★De Ober en de Bataat
Op de top van de berg staat een klein houten theehuis, waar de ober iedere dag zijn welbefaamde thee schenkt. Na het drinken van een onbekende theesoort raakt de ober terecht in een serie merkwaardige situaties. De ober en de bataat is een absurdistische muzikale voorstelling over vervreemding en herkenning. Stichting DutchArtistFamily / DutchAcidFamily, een groep kunstenaars gevestigd in Ruigoord, afkomstig uit Nederland, die een passie heeft voor leuke feestjes met een goed decor. Ooit begonnen op de feesten en festivals van Ruigoord met het maken van decoratie en houten bouwsels.
