Lieve vrienden en Ruigoorders
Met grote vreugde nodigen wij jullie uit voor de overzichtstentoonstelling van het werk van Lenneke von der Assen, die tussen 1976 en 1991 in Ruigoord woonde, en daar eindeloos veel schilderde. Dat deed ze ook al daarvoor, in Amsterdam en Den Haag, en vele jaren daarna, in Haarlem.
Hoewel dus altijd aanwezig, kon ze zich in Ruigoord pas echt helemaal uitleven met schilderen: de kinderen uit het dorp, de feesten, de natuur, Spaandamse aangezichten, de zee en de duinen, dat waren toen, en zijn ook daarna altijd haar lievelingsonderwerpen gebleven.
De tentoonstelling zal plaatsvinden in het nieuwe dorpshuis in Ruigoord, op de volgende data van 1400 tot 1800 uur.
