Elsje Elysée Stroetinga exposeert bij MLB Galerie voor de tentoonstelling “Image”
De expositie Image laat de werken zien van Els Fleer, Rob van Tour, Marlies Rekers, Elsje Elysee Stroetinga, Hannemieke Stamperius. Deze vijf kunstenaars laten zien hoeveel diversiteit kunstenaarsvereniging De Onafhankelijken herbergt: werken waarin kleur domineert, werken die hun kracht aan lijn ontlenen, innerlijk èn uiterlijk landschap, papier en hout, inkt, olieverf en ei-tempera.
Elsje Elysée Stroetinga
Studeerde bij Max Bueno de Mesquita (Amsterdam), atelier Toledo en La Grande Chaumière, Parijs. Haar werk gaat vooral over de intensiteit van kleur. Schildert daarom liefst met tempera. Onderwerpen: voornamelijk geabstraheerde vormen. Andere disciplines: piëzografie; fotografie; installaties.
Werkte eerst in Frankrijk, daarna betrokken bij meerdere galeries te Amsterdam. Was eigenaar Forum Galerie Amsterdam.
Exposeert in Europa (onlangs Grand Palais, Parijs) en daarbuiten (India, Mongolië). Werk in ateliers op Ruigoord en in de Cantal (Frankrijk).
Publicaties: ‘So within, so without’, Vaishwik Gallery, Poona (India); “Herfstdag” (Rilke), Museum Heerenveen.
